Birthday Brunch at The Cottage

For my birthday, my girls took me to brunch at a wonderful little quaint restaurant in La Jolla, called The Cottage. YUMMY, the cuisine was simple, yet totally splendid.

Maria and I sipped tangerine mimosas, which were soooo tasty. We ate far too much, the yogurt was decadent goodness and I do believe I hoarded the bowl to myself, after all it was my birthday lunch and I could!! I considered licking the bowel, but dare not due to the fact that my friends might have died in laughter and we were in posh La Jolla!!

Us girls giggled wildly at one another, almost a faint borderline annoyance to other patrons, but we didn't care. We laughed about our lives and old times. We cackled about our husbands, smiled about our children and spoke of new years resolutions we were hoping to pursue.

It was a wonderful birthday celebration!

We finished up our lunch purchasing the restaurants homemade granola, OMG, the granola!!! It's tasty, yummy, out of this world and I just discovered I can buy it online and have it shipped to me in the cold, cold rocky mountains...........snow everywhere. I will relish in my granola and with every morsel of goodness that touches my lips, I will think BEACH and remember that day, the misty smell of the ocean air, the tasty food we consumed, baby Jaycee curled up on her Mommas shoulder and us girls together in love in friendship.

I'm glad you enjoyed the day so much! I had a wonderful time myself. Miss you already, wish we could do it always. Jaycee was a really good girl and enjoyed spending time with the ladies. Jaycee is getting so big, she keeps changing everyday. She has almost grown out of her newborn clothes. Love ya!
