The Sleeping Jingle

This morning my adorable husband had to get up earlier than usual, actually a lot earlier, two hours earlier and I couldn't help but chuckle inside as I lay happily in the warm bed, half asleep, glad it was not me getting up at the god awful hour. I always feel great satisfaction when he has to endure my daily ritual (painful ritual) of waking up while it’s still dark, love it. My husband is the only person I know who will hit his snooze button for thirty minutes, so annoying! The more times he hits snooze, the more comfortable he gets and the further he melts into the bed. He despises morning time on a work day.

Before Landon, every morning I would have the pooches lick Danny awake. I would cackle and holler with delight as both dogs licked away and woke him up. It was the funniest thing and he could’t hit snooze on those doggies! Brilliant. The main instigator in those shenanigans was our little dog (haha, thought it was me) and since she is no longer with us, I can’t use that trick anymore. Every morning I beg and plead with Cody to help, “Wake Up Daddy!” but he just turns over lazily in bed, yawns and ignores me, disgusted that I would suggest such a thing to him. DAMN SPOILED DOG, no good for nothing varmint! That dog is so loyal to my husband; he would NEVER do anything to disrupt the slumber of the hands that feeds him.

Since the dog is no help I am forced to resort to desperate measures; turning on all the lights in the room, tickling feet, pulling nose hairs with tweezers, turning on the TV real loud and when I have exhausted all my tricks, I pull out the big guns and start calling him a “Lazy Butt: or “Your so Lazy” I make-up a little song and then proceed to sing and dance around the room (I have serious issues, I know!). I don’t know why.......but...... shortly after I start dancing and singing my little jingle he get’s right up, eye's still crusted over, hair all hawked out. Work’s like a charm every time, SNAPS for me.

I am so mean, hahahah........ but....... it's a good mean. I am looking out for my husbands best interests.
